SW London Bridge Walk 2026 registrations are now open
We’re delighted to announce that registrations for Jigsaw4u’s SW London Bridge Walk 2026 – taking place on Saturday 9 May – are officially open. After last year’s unforgettable success, when our incredible community helped raise over £24,000, we’re stepping forward once again with even more hope, ambition and determination to support local children, young people and families at a time they need it most.
As the title mentions, we are aiming higher as we’re looking to raise £30,000, the equivalent of 600 one‑to‑one therapy sessions for children and young people facing complex social and emotional challenges across SW London. Every step taken and £1 raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring our specialist support services.
A beautiful walk along the River Thames from Kingston to Richmond, Kew, Barnes, Putney and Wandsworth
The SW London Bridge Walk is a scenic riverside route along the Thames on the boundary of our SW London service-area that was praised by those who took part last year.
For 2026, the walk will finish at Wandsworth Park, a spacious riverside green looking out across the Thames. The new end point offers a slightly shorter route and an accessible, relaxed space for everyone to gather, celebrate and enjoy some light refreshments.
What’s required to get involved?
The walk is:
- Free to register: Sign up here
- Flexible Options for walkers of all abilities: Choose how to walk up to 26km your way
- A wonderful way to spend time with friends, family, colleagues and other supporters of Jigsaw4u
Want to walk as part of a group?
We wholeheartedly welcome teams to take part in the SW London Bridge Walk. Not only is it fun to include your colleagues, Club members, friends and family members, but it’s also an opportunity to meet other like-minded walkers who are joined together to support our charity.
We were really happy to hear that the atmosphere of last year’s event was friendly and welcoming to all involved. Don’t feel shy to ask others to join you, together you can attend for a shorter part of the challenge or you can go the whole way. Whatever you decide, we’d love to have you join us.
You can either make a team, where you can invite people to have their own pages and collecting towards the same target (potentially better for businesses), or you can set up one central page which will essentially do the same thing.
Fundraising that changes lives
We are encouraging each participant or team to fundraise as much as they feel able to. We have a minimum fundraising target set for each individual page to reach £500, but there is no expectation to reach the full amount. Having said this, a person who has managed to raise £500 has given us enough funding to provide 10 one-to-one therapy sessions!
Once you sign up, you will also be sent emails from us which contain a handy Jigsaw4u Fundraising Guide, helping you to maximise your chances to run a successful fundraising campaign with us.
Every donation raised during the walk will directly support Jigsaw4u’s specialist services, helping children, young people and families to feel heard, supported and hopeful about the future.
Not a walker? You can still help
We are looking for General Helpers and Volunteers – Supporting at stations, welcoming walkers, offering encouragement and helping to create a warm, positive atmosphere.
If you or someone you know would like to support the event in this way, please get in touch with our fundraising team at: info@jigsaw4u.org.uk.
Can’t join us on the day? Here’s how you can still make a difference
- Set up a fundraising page and explain that you’re supporting the walk from afar
- Spread the word by sharing the registration link with friends, neighbours or local groups
- Create your own challenge (a shorter walk, a bake sale, a workplace fundraiser) to help boost the campaign
- Donate to Team Jigsaw4u to help us reach our £30k fundraising target.
Every act of support, big or small, brings us closer to reaching our goal and providing vital therapeutic support for the young people who rely on us.
Thanks for your consideration and support with this. Together, we’ll make Saturday 9th May another day to remember.
