Get to know Jigsaw4u’s Patron & Ambassadors

Jigsaw4u’s Patron and Ambassadors help put the pieces back together by offering special opportunities for children, young people and families to get involved in and by spreading awareness of our work at events and through their networks.

Our Patron - Lord Iain McNicol

Lord Iain McNicol of West Kilbride is Jigsaw4u’s Patron.

He was born in Scotland, but has been a resident of Merton for over 25 years.

Before his peerage, Lord McNicol was the National Political Officer for a large Trade Union and spent seven years as the most senior employee and General Secretary of a major political party.

Lord McNicol is married and has two children who both attended local schools.

Lord McNicol has attended several events in aid of Jigsaw4u and supports us in many other ways. We are all very thankful to have his support in helping put the pieces back together for children, young people and families across South West London.

Meet our Ambassadors

Our team of Ambassadors are local people who raise the profile of Jigsaw4u, talking to their own networks about how they may be able to support us and joining us at events. They do this with their experience to date in whichever field or discipline they have found success in.

Would you be interested in becoming an Ambassador?

We are always on the lookout for potential Ambassadors to come and join our team. Check if you’re eligible by looking through the below qualities needed and Jigsaw4u’s expectations when becoming an Ambassador.

We look for people with the following qualities

Well known Locally

A high-profile person who is known either locally or beyond that has a wide network of people or organisations within which to raise the profile of Jigsaw4u.

Someone with a local connection

A person who comes from or has lived in the local community for quite a few years. This is important to us as a local community charity.

Connection to our cause

They might share experiences or identify with some of our service-users. We believe that this helps build role models for our service-users and raises their aspirations to let them know that anything is possible.

What we expect from our Ambassadors

Help raise our Profile

Through networking, promotion and publicity. Spreading awareness of our work and mission to their networks and the wider community.

Supporting us at Events

Attending events wherever possible and appropriate which would have a wide variety of supporters, partners, funders and also active and former service-users in attendance.

Fundraising activities for us

Hosting fundraising and cultivation events which goes directly back into supporting our direct service-delivery across the local community.
