With Christmas being a time of coming together, giving gifts and reflecting on the year as a whole, Jigsaw4u will continue to provide the vital specialist services for our children and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties over this period.
With these personal challenges in mind, our service-users may be facing a very different Christmas and New Year compared to what they have known before. Below are some ways you can choose to get involved to support our young people and families this Giving Tuesday and beyond.
Fundraiser Ledion runs the Bobble Wobble Marathon!
Fundraiser Ledion is running his second marathon of 2025 on the 6th December.
He ran his first marathon this year, fundraising to support his Auntie’s care home costs, which suddenly became an immediate need after her health had worsened. Unfortunately she died before she could make it to the care home, but everything raised went towards her funeral costs.
Unlike his second marathon attempt, he didn’t have the time to properly train for his first marathon with the pressing need for his Auntie’s health situation, this was his reaction after the first one which he ran in 5hrs and 50 mins:
”[My Auntie’s passing] was a heartbreaking loss, but I ran every single mile in her honour, carrying her memory with me the whole way.
Fundraiser Ledion reflecting on his first-ever Marathon fundraiser earlier this year
We’re very grateful to Ledion for choosing to support Jigsaw4u’s children and families with this second marathon attempt. Any donations made to Ledion’s Enthuse fundraising page would be much appreciated as everything raised will support our much needed work with local children and families.
Best of luck to Ledion for beating his PB this Saturday!

You might choose to challenge yourself to run a 5k, or whatever distance you like, on Christmas morning, Boxing Day or on New Years Day.
Christmas and New Years Day are two days that have special Park Run events taking place, so you might like to join runs taking place across participating parks (there are 10 across our service-area), and raise funds for us this way. You might even like to do it in fancy dress!
As over 90% of our income goes directly towards our specialist support services – any donations raised, big or small, can have the power to make a HUGE difference for our children, young people and families.
