Our upcoming London Marathon runner, Oscar Bevis, made his announcement to run the Marathon for Jigsaw4u on the Stomping Ground Podcast alongside Eddie Hearn!
Oscar shared details about our support for children, young people and families to Eddie. One area of our work particularly resonates with Oscar being our support of Young Victims of Crime – Oscar reveals in the video that he has been a victim of crime himself and finds it important to support youngsters who have also been affected.
Eddie expressed his support for Oscar’s run and announces his pledge to sponsor him. He recalls his own experience with the London Marathon, admitting it was the worst thing he’s ever done.
Their conversation then turned into a friendly challenge. Oscar expresses his confidence in breaking the dreaded four-hour mark. Eddie offered to double his £500 donation to Jigsaw4u, if Oscar beats the marathon in under 4 hours! Thank you to Eddie for this pledge and for his support of Jigsaw4u!
Based on our chats with Oscar, we’re more than confident he will smash the target as a confident and experienced runner. You can see his dedication to his training in the picture below of his new shoes. It’s clear that no matter the weather, Oscar doesn’t shirk away from a good run!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to Oscar’s fundraising page. We wish him the best of luck in the challenge and with his fundraising to support Jigsaw4u’s children and families 👨👩👧👦🧩
