Our impact:

With the New Year upon us, it is usually a time for many to consider resolutions to make this year the best yet.

This article is for those of you who may have already made resolutions for 2026, perhaps you’ve come up with similar resolutions to the examples found below!

Alternatively, you may not have come around to cementing your resolutions just yet – if this is you, hopefully we inspire you to make 2026 a year for giving back.

How you could decide to give back this year?

There are three ways to give back, you could give the gift of:

💸 Financial Donations – To provide us with the funds necessary to deliver our vital services for young people, vulnerable adults and families as well as the fun and free events we offer to each and every Jigsaw4u service-user through our Activities4u service.

🕔 Time – Volunteering with vulnerable adults through our support to domestic abuse survivors via our Helping Hands service and Independent Visiting service which helps children living in the care system. Or you could join our amazing team of volunteers at the community centre we manage, being the Wilson Wellbeing.

👕 Useful items – Which can be given to Jigsaw4u or the Wilson Wellbeing Community Centre. Donated gifts can make a massive difference to some of our most disadvantaged service-users.

Giving Financial Donations

Set up regular donations to support Jigsaw4u

This is a great way to give Jigsaw4u the power to fill any potential gaps in our service-delivery, allowing us more options when delivering our support.

A good example of this would be through providing further sessions for individuals that may require further support from us. Donating regularly is very easy to do, visit our online donation page to get started.

Donate Regularly

Create a ‘Rounding Up’ Savings Pot

A rounding‑up pot is a feature that can be set up with most banking apps or services you use regularly. Essentially, it lets you round up everyday purchases to the nearest pound, with the spare change collected automatically and put into it’s very own pot.

It’s a simple, feel‑good way to build a small fund over time. When your pot grows, you can choose to donate part or all of it to a charity you care about, turning daily spending into an a major act of generosity.

Make a one-off donation by visiting our online donation page once you’ve grown your very own round-up pot.

Request Financial Donations for special occasions

Whether it’s your Birthday, an important Anniversary or your Wedding day, requesting donations to your favourite charity to celebrate these events are a great way to give back.

You could even set up a fundraising page, or simply share Jigsaw4u’s online donation page to your friends and family. Social media platforms like Facebook allow you to request donations on your Birthday or to set up a fundraiser, so these are other great options to raise vital funds.

Giving Useful Items

Donate clothes, books or other useful household items

These sorts of donations are a simple way to make a positive start to the year. Passing on things you no longer need helps others, reduces waste, and supports local charities. It’s an easy, thoughtful resolution that turns everyday decluttering into meaningful community support.

Donating pre-loved items can be utilised by Jigsaw4u and the Wilson Wellbeing community centre we manage in Mitcham. Let us know a rough idea of what you have and we can direct the best place to send these items to from there. You can either email us at: info@jigsaw4u.org.uk or call us Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm) at: 020 8687 1384.

Consider sending us your old tech

Similarly to the previous points, donating your old tech is a thoughtful way to support others while reducing waste.

Laptops, tablets, and phones you no longer use can be refurbished and passed to our children and families who may have limited devices that can be used at home. Clearing out your drawers could help someone stay connected, learn, or access essential services.

Let us know about any tech you might like to donate to us. You can either email us at: info@jigsaw4u.org.uk or call us Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm) at: 020 8687 1384.
