We are very excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the UK-wide Charity Governance Awards 2018 which was announced this week. We are in running for the ‘Improving Impact’ award and the prize of a £5,000 unrestricted grant and are one of 20 charities from across the UK that complete the full shortlist.
Jigsaw4u joins a shortlist of charities representing a diverse range of activities which include mental health care, family support, overseas aid, community sports programmes, and post-natal care.
Christine Roe our Chair of Trustee’s said ‘Being shortlisted for this award recognises the work the trustees (all volunteers), managers and staff have done to increase the impact of Jigsaw4u and the improvements made to the lives of local children and young people. To be awarded the £5000 will help support Jigsaw4u’s essential work with local children, who have suffered bereavement or other losses and disruptions in their lives.”
A 20-strong judging panel have shortlisted the entries and will select a winner in each of the seven categories. The winners will be announced at the official awards reception at the historic Clothworkers Hall in London on 24th May 2018.
The Clothworkers Company-a City of London Livery company that supports trusteeship initiatives–is partnered with not-for-profit consultancy NPC (New Philanthropy Capital), volunteer matching charity Reach, and recruitment specialists Prospectus.
